I will look at your profile and probably friend you back. I’m a retired teacher(English/law/children) interested in writing. Other major interests are online roleplaying, online gaming, line dancing and travel. I am married, with one grown-up daughter. I am living in a seventeenth century house which is undergoing renovation at a very slow pace and tends to be chaotic. We are having a pet hiatus which means that I need to vacuum less often. I spent most of my career (and most of my spare time before the internet hooked me) involved in equal opportunities work of various kinds, trade unionist activities and political discussion. I am part of the editing team for two e-zines; this is also quite labour-intensive! I write in a variety of genres, including both fantasy and fanfiction. In this journal I shall from time to time post slash fanfiction - often NC-17. You have been warned! If you are under age, you shouldn't be here. If you are easily offended, just go away. I promise to use LJ cuts and filters and to vet my readers! Some of my fic is based on characters/worlds created/owned by other people. I am playing with them for fun, not profit. I do not dispute their ownership. I also believe that writing fanfic is a legitimate activity. Please don't archive my stuff on LJ unlocked comms (although I occasionally post to comms myself); for Yahoo groups, feel free - you don't need to ask but it would be nice to be told! My fanfics are in my memories. My original fic is not accessible here; I welcome readers who are willing to provide concrit and support so, if you’re interested, email me!
